The Tannery GARA LEATHER is one of the leading companies in animal skin processing.
We process raw leather from selected suppliers.

The tannery’s history stretches back to 1930, when Tomáš Baťa built a new factory complex in Otrokovice.
The headquarters of the company GARA LEATHER is located in one of these historic buildings.
GARA LEDER processes leather using oil tanning, which is considered to be the oldest tanning method.

Our company is only using fish fat for tanning.
Oil tanning is also known as chamois tanning, and the leather produced in this fashion is also known as chamois.
